Michael Porter has worked with many governments, corporations and academic circles all around the world. He chairs Harvard Business School's program dedicated for newly appointed CEOs of very large corporations.
He described Porter’s Five Forces model in his first Harvard Business Review article “How Competitive Forces Shape Strategy” in 1979, and it started a revolution in the strategy field. He also comes back on this model in his influential book “Competitive Strategy: Techniques for Analyzing Industries and Competitors”.
